Important: This website operates on an 'invitation to treat' basis and not as an 'offer for sale' as a result, outcast hats reserves the right to decline orders for bulk or high value purchases or confirmed orders where an item has been priced incorrectly.

Credit Card Security

During the checkout stage, you will be passed on to the Worldpay secure order processing page.

Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the retailer during an online transaction. In reality, an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is strongly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.

The RBS WorldPay payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, our public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that both the shopper and retailer can have confidence that nobody can impersonate RBS WorldPay to obtain confidential information.

Transaction Encryption

The transfer of the purchase details from the retailers site to RBS WorldPay are encapsulated using our own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof via SSL.

Security for the Shopper

Any communication between the shopper and RBS WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using 128 Bit SSL. Shoppers are also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuers. The card issuers provide the right for shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.

Data Storage

Data storage on RBS WorldPay systems, and the communication between RBS WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. We also ensure that we stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code we use, and continually review our own proprietary code.

Stock Levels

We work hard to ensure we carry the most comprehensive selection of items. Our target is to stock 100% of the products we show available. If you purchase an item that we do not have in stock we will contact you immediately if we feel this will adversely affect the length of time it will take us to supply the item to you.

Delivery of the goods shall be made to the buyers address. The buyer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the goods on the day notified by the seller for delivery.

The seller undertakes to use its reasonable endeavours to dispach the goods on an agreed delivery date, but does not guarantee to do so.

Time of delivery shall not be of the essence of the contract.

The seller shall not be liable to the buyer for any loss or damage wether arising directly or indirectly from the late delivery or short delivery of the goods. If short delivery does take place, the buyer undertakes not to reject the goods, but to accept the goods delivered as part performance of the contract.
